Thank you to the Publishers and Netgalley for a ARC of this book.
I was so looking forward to this book, then somehow it got eaten up into kindle world and disappeared. I have this week been sorting through all my books and putting them into categories and sorting out some kind of reading order, and was well chuffed when I realised I had this to read.
I started it pretty much as soon as I'd finished sorting out.
I have read and really enjoyed other books by Alexandra Brown, so knew visiting Tindledale again was just the tonic I needed. A real pick me up. Again as soon as I started this book, it was like I was back there, Back in a village where you feel you could belong. Shouting Good morning to folk on your way to work or off for your morning paper. Now racing about with your head down, getting knocked about by some Pratt on an IPhone with headphones in.
Tindledale felt a whole lot more community spirited this time, I'm not sure why, but maybe it's with everyone in the village getting together to put on the best Village show of all time, the organisation, the ups and downs, who will do what, will things go to plan. But not only that The local school is being threatened with closure, it's miles away to the next school, and something needs to be done, this school has been here forever, surely they can't just close it down. Well not if deputy head Meg has anything to do with it they wont.
We have more new comers in this book too, and it was great getting to know the new characters. Jess is hoping the move will be a new start for her and her family and soon becomes friends with Meg.
The closeness of the village is just great, it really adds to the warmth of the story.
Another amazing read. I look forward to more books from this author.
