Review: The First One To Die

The First One To Die The First One To Die by Victoria Jenkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well well, what a jolly good series this is turning into. I recently read book 1 and enjoyed it so I was really looking forward to getting stuck into this one, book 2 of the series. Sometimes being behind in a series has it's advantages. As soon as I finished this one, I went right onto book 3.
I found in this book we got to know a lot more of Alex and Chloe, i'm loving the characters they are turning into and I fell they work really well together. I'm enjoying as I always do with book series getting to know the individual characters.
In this book Alex is called out to what looks like a possible suicide or an accident of a young girl. It soon becomes clear to Alex that this is not an accident and that Keira North did not just fall to her death.
This book has some great twists and turns, a great storyline and it certainly keeps you wanting to read on, so much so that as soon as i finished it, I went right onto book 3. Lot's of secrets revealed and trouble caused. Fantastic read.

Review: The Girls In The Water

The Girls In The Water The Girls In The Water by Victoria Jenkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sometimes falling behind in a series really does have its advantages. I have just finished this corker of a read and I get to go right into book 2.
Detectives King & Lane Book #1
This was one of those books that you know once you start it, it's going to be difficult to put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was a book that dragged me into the pages, and didn't let me go until I got to the end. Not only is this a fab police procedural, the characters are believable and enjoyable to read about. The characters of King and Lane are ones I know I'm going to like more and more over this series. I love a series where not only do you get stuck into the crimes of each book, but you can follow the lives of the main characters to the point you really look forward to having a book reunion with them. For me these two characters are going to be book friends in future books.
The story line was first class, believable and gripping.
I really wouldn't have any problems recommending this story to anyone.
Pick it up and enjoy it.
