My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Firstly I would like to thank the publishers for a review copy of this book. I've been fighting to get through my huge pile of books I need to read and decided to start with this one as it's the beginning of a series.
Book 1 in the Paula Maguire series.
This book gets a 4/5 from me. It's an interesting read, and more than enough to keep you gripped and guessing.
After leaving her home town in Ireland, Paula was certain she would never go back, yet here she is heading back. As forensic Psychologist , Paula is working with a team to find 2 missing girls.
I can't help thinking Paula's character should have been a copper, as she does seem to think she is one from time to time.
That said I mostly liked her character, and I look forward to reading more from this series and getting to know Paula some more.
She has history and baggage, but she is a likeable character and I'm hoping she will grow and develop into something special over the next few books.
I have since bought this book for the kindle so that my mum could read it, I think she'll enjoy it too.
