My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Well here we are book 4, and I have to say my favourite one yet. This series has just got better and better with each book.
It's been great having all 4 books to read and I've been able to jump to the next one as soon as I wanted to. So it's safe to say I'm a little bit gutted that I have to wait for the next one to be written. But as I say the way this series is going, I'm sure I wont be disappointed when it does come out.
We pick up this story two years on from the last book, which I must say are worth reading in order to get a better feel for the background history of the characters.
So here we are 2 years on, and Paula is set to get married. She is also working on a missing persons case.
Alice is missing, as usual Paula has to put everything into finding here, that also includes not wasting time looking for her perfect wedding dress or sorting out the finer details of her big day. All that is left to her hubby to be and her best friend.
Alice has gone missing from the church where she works as a caretaker, there is blood at the scene and a religious relic is also missing.
This also mirrors the case of a missing girl from around 30 years ago. Could it be the same person involved or something more sinister.
And I have to say the unanswered questions I had in the previous books have now been answered. It's funny I can't decide if those are the answers I was hoping for. lol
I'm really liking Paula as a character and really rooting for things to just be perfect for her, but we know that can't happen this is not a lovey dovey romantic novel. But still I find myself rooting for things to just go well for her.
This book is fantastically written and put together in such a way that you really do need to keep reading.
It really is a thrilling page turner.
I cant wait for more. A super big thank you to the Author, Publisher and Netgalley for a review copy of this book.
