Heartbreaking. No family should have to deal with this, The Killing of Lee Rigby was big news, and followed by millions from around the world.
In this Story his mother Lyn tells of the life of Lee, and how her and her family tried to cope at the time of this tragic killing, and in the years that have followed.
It was truly heartbreaking reading this book. And I have to say Lyn has done her son and herself proud writing it.
I found it a difficult read, it really was an emotional rollercoster reading it. It also hit me hard, when Lyn mentions her best friend Sandra. I worked with Sandra for many years, and I remember the emotions she went through when this happened with Lee, Her best mates son and the little lad from across the road, what I found heartbreaking, is since all this, Sandra has passed away after a fight with Cancer, and I trully belive her and Lee with be up there causing mayhem toghether.
Lyn has gone through so much, and reading this book highlights a lot of it. you can feel her raw emotions in the words, I just can't comprehend how you get through something like this.
A big box of tissues is needed to read this, there are parts where you can't help but have tears running down your face. You want to be alone in a room when reading this, you'll need to be.
Lyn and Rosie you have put together an amazingly heartwarming, and emotional book, I can't imagine the amount of tears that went into writing it. And I think Lyn sharing her story is just amazing. Well done to all involved.
If Lyn Ever reads any of these reviews, I would like to wish you all the very best, and I hope having your son looking down on you helps you build yourself and your family day by day.
