Review: A Truth for a Truth

A Truth for a Truth A Truth for a Truth by Carol Wyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW.
That's it, just wow. I really don't know where to start with this.
If you have not read any of the Kate Young series then I need to say that it really should be read in order. For this book to have the effect it delivers then the back history is a must. please do read the other books first. trust me, you'll thank me for it.

Detective Kate Young
1. An Eye for an Eye (2021)
2. A Cut for a Cut (2021)
3. A Life for a Life (2022)
4. A Truth for a Truth (2023)

DI Kate Young is about to face her biggest challenge yet. One that could, at any moment tip her over the edge.
Kate is going to have to learn who she can and can't trust. She is thrown into the most emotionally challenging time of her career. Her actions could change the future not only for Kate but for the police Force.
This is a real edge of your seat read. At times I found myself holding my breath. I was second guessing every step of the way. I liked how the author has continued with the story of the voices in Kate's head. This really does help with the story plot. We get a good understanding of each side.
The twists, the turns, the suspense - all just done perfectly. I can not fault this book at all. The Author has exceeded all expectations and smashed it out the water with this one. I really can't emphasize how good it is.
I really don't want to wait for the next installment, I need to know where this series is going.
