Snow Angels, Secrets and Christmas Cake by Sue Watson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A great fun read, with enough seriousness to make you think. and truly realize just what is important in life.
A Christmas cracker of a read.
I really enjoyed the last book I read by Sue Watson, so when I saw this I knew I had to give it a go. And I did really enjoy it, The humor in this book is just priceless. I really found myself chuckling at parts. Sue Watson really does know how to drag the reader into the book.
In this book we have 2 very different sisters, Tamsin and Sam, both characters I loved instantly. The girls are thrown together when Tamsin, in the midst of organizing another fantastic Christmas, get's a visit from the Baliffes. Not the Christmas guest you want. Especially when they have come to tell you they are repossessing your home.
Sam, Tamsin's sister is there to support her through her ordeal, and although going through some issues of her own, She is there to offer her love and support although at time's she'd rather not have her with her, the sisters are forced to get through things together.
Tamsin goes from miss money bags, to miss Black bag's and is forced to stay in her sisters flat over the top of her sisters bakery shop, where the women will face even more problems, the good thing about this book is it show's with love, family and some truly crazy friends, you really can tackle anything that life throws at you.
There are also a whole bunch of other brilliant characters in this book and I just think the way it is written and put together is just fantastic. A truly brilliant read.
Love, Lies and Lemon cakes by Sue Watson was one of those books earlier this year that helped me decide to read a few more Chic lit books, rather than just the usual crime books I normally read. And I tell you, I'm so glad I have given them a go.
