This was my little ones school book read. She's 6.
And she really enjoyed it. Read over 3 nights, this is the first book that is an actual chapter book that she's read. And at first she found it a little daunting, but once she got into it she read it with ease.
It's funny, my 6yr old self would have really enjoyed this book, and as it's as old as I am, I probably read it way back then.
She kept saying its like Harry Potter, Mummy. So I guess I can now see the reasoning behind the comments of an early Harry Potter style book.
It's really a timeless story, featuring Mildred Hubble, who goes to Miss Cackle's Academy, Mildred is real fun as she always seems to be the one who things go wrong for.
It really was an enjoyable read. And one we would probably read again one day.
