Review: The Girl Before

The Girl Before The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An interesting read, a good read but not as thrilling as I thought it was going to be. I liked the concept of the story, and it was easy enough to follow.

I hate how everywhere you look nowadays with books, you always get the 'if you likes xyz, then you'll love this.

Personally I'd say this is nothing like I've read before. It really was very different, a pretty unique story and one that is quite thought provoking at times.
It's easy to get lost in the book, and with each chapter being told from a different pov, Jane or Emma then they are quite short chapters, which makes it easy to sit and think just one more chapter, before you know it you have read a whole chunk of the book.

3.5*

I believe this to be JP Delaneys debut novel, which for a first novel I think it's very clever. I have then next book by this author to read and I'm looking forward to seeing what we are given this time.

I think this author is certainly going to be one to watch out for.

I can't go into the story line here, as it's one of those books that the slightest hint might give away way to much. The book description itself gives enough of an idea of what it's about. An interesting read, and should you be going away this would be an easy book to pick up and put down while lounging somewhere nice in the sun.
