How I Lost You by Jenny Blackhurst
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book.
I read many mixed reviews on this book, so started it with an open mind.
And I have to say I did enjoy it. It was just very different from my normal crime reads, but gripping. I found I had to pick up my kindle wherever and whenever I could just to read a little more. I really wanted to know what was going on and where the story was going.
I had a vauge Idea from early on how it was going to pan out.
The book is based around Emma, who was Susan - Until she murdered her 3 month old son Dylan.
This is right at the beginning of the book, and I was so tempted to put the book down as I didn't think I was going to cope with it very well. But I told myself to man up and carried on with it.
I'm glad I did.
Susan has changed her name to Emma after her release from the psychiatric hospital, where she served her sentence for Murdering her son.
Whilst in the hospital she made friends with Cassie, A character i really did like. And Cassie is now with her on the outside where both of them seem to be trying to rebuild their lives.
But things begin to happen to and around Emma, and it's only a matter of time before her past can not be kept a secret any longer.
There are also a lot of questions that Emma/Susan needs answering, and with the help of a Journo Nick and her friend Cassie they set out to get the answers.
This book really kept me on my toes, I did an awful lot of thinking while reading it.
